This small, lightweight wind sensor is recommended for use in harsh environmental conditions. The WindSonic has no moving parts, offering maintenance-free operation.

The Vaisala Weather Transmitter is the perfect partner for the client who wants to measure a wide range of weather parameters with their AQM DM11. The WXT520 measures barometric pressure, humidity, precipitation, temperature, and wind speed and direction. To measure wind speed and direction, the WXT520 has the Vaisala WINDCAP® sensor that uses ultrasound to determine horizontal wind speed and direction. The array of three equally spaced transducers on a horizontal plane is a Vaisala specific design. Barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity measurements are combined in the PTU module using capacitive measurement for each parameter. It is easy to change the module without any contact with the sensors. The WXT520 is immune to flooding, clogging, wetting, and evaporation.
AQM offer various different stand options to suit any application. Our standard is a 2.5 metre high with a circular base. This is made to take the Gill Wind Sonic instrument. The cable drops down the inside the pole and plugs direct into the DM11 instrument leaving the application looking neat and tidy.
AQM also offer a mix and match option which allows the instrument to be mounted on a bigger base, eyes so that the stand can be attached with wires for extra support and exchangeable pole lengths for the client who requires that little bit extra.
